Confession: I'm a workaholic.
I'm addicted to looking through the viewfinder. When I don't have my camera with me, you can usually find me 'composing and waiting' somewhere with my iPhone.
Confession Part II: I took a 10-day break from photography & videography.
*Gasp* I know, right?
Ok. So, I didn't take a break from the iPhone photos.... but I put my camera down for 10 days straight. I needed it. Have you ever felt yourself so consumed into a project that you completely lost your vision? I've been working non-stop on my Master's film and I reached that point of cloudiness. It's at that point when I realized I needed to put it down, at least for a little while. Even the workaholics need a day on the beach.
I took 10 days to spend time in warm weather with my family, read a book, walk on the beach, and catch up on the Blacklist.....It was amazing.
However, of course, we always fall back to our habits eventually. I woke up this morning missing my camera and eager to get back to creating. I took this portrait in parent's guest bedroom where I've been staying the past few days.
It feels good to be back on track & ready to get back to work. :)
