Shira Stoll is a visual journalist from Patchogue, New York. She currently is a Multimedia Specialist at the Staten Island Advance and a Master's degree candidate at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. She was also a student at the Eddie Adams Workshop XXVIII.
In 2018, Stoll was nominated for a New York Emmy in for God’s Plan, a story about a high school football star, and she received a New York Publishers Association Distinguished Investigative Reporting Award of Excellence for a The Untreated, team series about mental illness on Staten Island. Stoll also received an Honorable Mention by NPPA Northern Short Course in 2018 for her project Artie’s by the Sea.
