Rachael Eisenson suffers from Familial Dysautonomia, a rare genetic disease which disturbs cells in the autonomic nervous system and makes it difficult her to breathe, regulate blood pressure and body temperature, produce tears, and digest food. After numerous doctors appointments, treatments, and a kidney transplant, Rachael continues to struggle with her disease. In the summer of 2016, Rachael got a dog, Chloe, who has since brought out the joy in Rachael's life. 

This story continues to evolve as Rachael and Chloe develop a closer relationship.
